It may only be February but we can't help but reminisce over this GORGEOUS July wedding, with a pink explosion of colour, flowers and dresses... it's hard not to fall in love, making it absolutely justified to enthusiastically celebrate this beautiful day in the month dedicated to love, don't you think?

Clare & Carl celebrated their stylish affair with just over 100 of their loved ones at the peak of the gorgeous Summer weather... it's a celebration we were so glad to be apart of and so glad we can now share it with you wonderful lot!

So... tell us how you met?

Carl and I met online. The joke is, I liked his picture because he was taller than a door. We met at a bar for our first date and we just really hit it off. We spent the whole night chatting and laughing and didn’t leave until it closed. It just felt really natural and right.

The proposal story!

We went to Blenheim Palace to see the Christmas light trail. As we were in the main square, Carl pulled me over to the neon sign of Blenheim Palace by the main entrance and got down on one knee. I was just so happy I cried. The ring was also amazing - he designed it with Holly Robinson Jewellery and it was perfect. I spent the rest of the evening walking round the light trail in a blur of happiness.

Why Elmore Court?

I saw pictures of Elmore Court years ago and loved it straight away. I always used to think how amazing it would be to get married there. Fast forward to the present and I can’t quite believe that’s where we ended up. It was the first place I wanted to book for a tour when we started to look at venues. We looked at a few different places but when we went to Elmore, we both fell in love and knew it was the place for us. I loved the stately home and the light ceremony room and Carl loved the modern feel of the Gillyflower. We both also loved that everyone could be together.

Where did your wedding inspiration come from?

I knew I wanted something fun, bold and colourful so I started there. I had a few ideas but it was when I purchased my dress that the colour scheme came together. The bright pink/blush/peach vibe then took off and it was perfect for us.

How did you find the planning of your wedding?

I really enjoyed the planning to be honest. There were a few stressful moments but Google sheets became my best friend. My sister and I were actually both getting married in the same year so we also helped each other out as well. I think I drove Carl crazy a couple of times with my indecisiveness over the smaller details but we got there in the end and everything came together so well.

We loved your gorgeous gown how did you choose this look?

My gown was by Nicole Milano from Annabel Sarah Bridal and Annabel was so lovely and patient. I knew I wanted something a little different and when I saw the dress, I fell in love. I knew it was the one when I tried it on; I loved the unusual tricoloured tones and the hint of blush was perfect but not too much. I also had a second dress from My Funny Valentine Bridal and it was so pretty and the perfect dress to be able to dance all night in. It was by Evie Young and it sparkled all over.

On the morning of your wedding, how did you feel?

I remember feeling so nervous on the morning of the wedding right up to walking down the aisle. I think all the emotions just hit me but my sister was amazing and kept me calm. Rachel our coordinator was also so helpful and made sure everything was in the right place and we were on time which really helped.

Tell us about the ceremony?

I loved our ceremony so much. The styling was perfect and Jody from Rosy Lea Florist was incredible. She took my vision and amplified it and I couldn’t have asked for more. We had the aisle lined with meadow boxes leading to a gorgeous full arch which was perfect. The actual ceremony itself was just what we had hoped for. Nero String Quartet filled the hall with the most beautiful music and I walked down the aisle to A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman. Rachel our coordinator was a superstar with this as I really wanted to walk down the aisle at a certain point in the song so she actually timed everyone’s entrance to make it happen for me! Our registrars were lovely and we had a personalised reading we had written together which was really special.

Talk us through the drinks reception?

The drinks reception was so much fun but it went so quickly! We had personalised cocktails named after our dogs and everyone loved them - some a little too much! Our guests also really enjoyed the outdoor games by Every Event Hire. My only slight regret is I wish we had given over a little more time for this part of the day as it was just so lovely but it went so fast.

What was your food of choice?

We had roast beef with dauphinoise potatoes and it was amazing. Honestly the food all day was just out of this world and we had so many compliments on it from our guests.

What was your reaction to your reception at the Gillyflower?

We were just in awe. It came together so beautifully and Etiquette Events Styling did such an amazing job setting everything up for us along with Jody our florist and Laura from Urban Frame. It was everything I had dreamed of and then we saw our cake… it was incredible! Clare from Cake DayDreams is just amazing.

What were your wedding highlights?

There were so many. The whole day was just perfect in every way. I loved getting ready in the smoking room and revealing my dress to everyone. Walking down the aisle towards Carl was just everything and I was just so happy. The drinks reception was really fun and then we loved coming into the reception with everyone waving their napkins. We had smoke bombs, sparklers and an amazing Photo Booth as well as s’mores around the fire pit and we spent the whole night dancing with Luke from Cheltenham DJs playing the best music and Dom on the saxophone. We finished off our wedding in the drawing room with our friends and we loved every moment.

Any tips for couples currently planning their wedding?

My biggest tip is choose your suppliers carefully. They truly make your day and ours were just amazing. Your photographer and videographer spend so much time with you that you need to be comfortable and I had the best with Ana Parker and Charli Palmer. They were so calm, kind and patient (and great fun)  and truly went above and beyond to help both Carl and I get ready and then making us feel comfortable throughout all our photos. Your suppliers are so important so take the time to get it right for you.

And finally... who helped bring your magical day to life?
